These are the assemblages of Doc Wineinger.  Doc lived near the town of Valeene, Indiana, on the edge of the Hoosier National Forest.  Throughout the 1970's and 80's he salvaged down wood from the forest floor and created fanciful forms to embellish his cabin and yard.  A true compulsive and self taught artist, Doc kept his collection until his cabin burned to the ground.  We were fortunate to buy all of his remaining works before his death in 1997.  Each piece is unique.  We have an inventory of Doc's art that ranges in price from $250 to $2000.  Please email us for more information and additional photos at susan_rod@parrettlich.com

Jerry Erdahl is a self taught, contemporary artist from LaPorte City, Iowa.  His artistic compulsions are born of introspective, philosophical thought.  He works in multiple media and has art in collections from Baltimore to Los Angeles.

This sculpture, is a wooden frame with mixed media and found objects.  The faces in the muffin tin and the people near the bottom are molded out of a material that Jerry makes from saw dust and glue.  To see more of Jerry's work, please email us at susan_rod@parrettlich.com.

Farmer John Wacker, lived in the Iowa countryside near Manchester until his death in 2000.  For years he made farm related sculptures to decorate his yard and entertain area children.  Without training as an artist, Farmer John captured the proportion of familiar objects, although he often worked in  a larger-than-life scale.  One of his art works was honored by The Smithsonian in 1976, when his mail box was recognized as a winner in a national contest.  Each piece is unique and made of multi-media, often discarded farm related materials.  A red and white pig was made of a metal barrel, carved wooden face, and rubber hose tail.  It stands four feet tall.  The Dachshund's body is the marriage of two metal water heaters welded end-to-end with a plastic tube tail and carved wooden head.  At one time it had been mounted on wheels and was used as a ride for children.  There is a wonderful whimsey in all of Farmer John's works.
